Arjun Sivasundar

Arjun was the first masters student to graduate from the lab (co-advised by Dr. Ortí and Dr. Ballinger). He graduated in July 2000 and we named a PCR machine after him. He is now a Ph.D. student at Rutgers University. His thesis work involved two projects

The phylogeny of the Serrasalminae (piranhas) (abstract)

Phylogeography of a group of South American freshwater fishes (genus Prochilodus) (Sivasundar et al 2001)
