Arjun was the first masters student to graduate from the lab (co-advised by Dr. Ortí and Dr. Ballinger). He graduated in July 2000 and we named a PCR machine after him. He is now a Ph.D. student at Rutgers University. His thesis work involved two projects

1. The phylogeny of the Serrasalminae (piranhas) (abstract and poster presented at the 2000 ASIH meeting in La Paz.)
2. Phylogeography of a group of South American freshwater fishes (genus Prochilodus) (Sivasundar et al 2001). Publications from past work:
